About the Founder

Jenene Wooldridge is a Mi’kmaq leader from Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) with more than two decades of experience in executive leadership, governance, negotiations, community development, and Indigenous–Crown relations. As the founder of Segewa’t Consulting, Jenene brings deep knowledge of Mi’kmaq governance structures, cultural protocols, and the practical realities of advancing Nation-to-Nation relationships.

Her work is grounded in Mi’kmaq values and guided by a commitment to strengthening community voices, building respectful partnerships, and supporting organizations as they learn, grow, and engage more meaningfully with Indigenous peoples.

Jenene is known for her ability to bridge perspectives - bringing clarity, cultural insight, expertise, and strategic guidance to complex projects. Through Segewa’t, she provides thoughtful, culturally grounded support to governments, public-sector partners, and organizations seeking to move forward in the spirit of reconciliation.
